Moving into Fall

The weather is starting to cool off here, and fast! It actually makes us a little nervous as to just how harsh the winter may be! We continue to feel more settled all the time, and have been blessed with great new friends and community here. Work and class are still going well, and we are certainly taking advantage of living in such a fun city. We plan on spending our upcoming seven day holiday here and are very much looking forward to it. More pictures to come!

Highlights so far this fall include traveling to Chengdu (Aaron's home here for five years), participating in our first Chinese wedding, and visiting an orphanage and surrounding areas affected by the May Sichuan earthquake. Enjoy the pictures below!

Hayley with a precious little five month old baby girl at the orphanage we visited; loving on the kids was a definite highlight, and really helped us re-catch the vision of why we're back in China

Aaron with an orphanage worker who broke both feet helping get the children to safety during the earthquake...truly a hero!
