October in Beijing

October has been a great month for us in Beijing! From time with friends, to our trip to Henan to visit a local orphanage that a friend from the states works with, to Chase (Hayley's brother) being in town, to celebrating our 2nd anniversary, it's all around been a really good month here. Thanks for the continued support and prayers and check out the pictures below!
The Care for Children Annual Village Fete which raises community awareness and provides locals and foreigners alike with a fun day out for the whole family!

Diane and Cindy (two of Care for Children's staff and friends) with me running the "Crack the Golden Egg" booth. Sure enough our booth turned out to be one of the most popular booths of the day! (Did we mention that every egg had a prize inside?)
Aaron trying out his new moves
We couldn't pass up the opportunity to have our picture taken with one of our favorite waitresses :)

A cute mom and baby who wanted to have their picture taken with me :)

A group of us at a birthday lunch for one of our friends...most people here are in our Home Group through BICF (Beijing International Fellowship)

We were introduced to the Henan Province this month and made our first trip to a state run orphanage there. As part of our trip, we met with a local government official (pictured here) and experienced a notorious 2 1/2 hour Chinese lunch!

The orphanage director with us - he definitely had a huge heart for the kids which was so encouraging to see

More pictures to come!
